When I added the Edelbrock 600 cfm 4v and performer rpm manifold to my 302, I had to remove the stock setup from pedal to the linkage part of the edelbrock and go with a Lokbar brand set up. I nice stainless steel aftermarket setup which is a cable which attaches to the gas pedal and then a few pieces to attach the cable to to the carb.
