The tractor must be shifted into 4th gear to drive out the shift pin that engages the top shift arms. Remove detent screw, spring, and ball from left side of housing.. Remove the little 1/4 screw that retains the shift elbow. Slide the complete shift lever assembly out the right side of housing.
